On our last three one way rentals (to different cities in the same state) we have been assigned wildly larger vehicles than I am interested in driving. In one case, it was a van with seating for 9. I am always told that our car has been "assigned" and it always takes 20 minutes or so to discuss and get back to the model we actually reserved. I understand that the locations like to dump off
certain cars, but I don't want to be the recipient. I am an infrequent renter, but do have Gold privileges. Should I make a note on my reservation? Call the originating station in advance? Both? I'd appreciate any thoughts as we have a booking I. Wyoming in a few weeks and I'd like to eliminate this phase of our rental. TIA.
