Exact same thing happened to me. I got an email a month ago welcoming me to another year of PC and then a few weeks ago got an email saying I'm now preferred plus. I wrote Avis asking why the e-mail said I had PC for a year and then it was taken away, they just sent me a generic reply which didn't address the question at all. Oh well, there goes my PC and my rentals at Avis, guess I'll still with National even when they're more expensive then Avis.
