Lot of people keep saying Haneda is "more convenient" for Tokyo and it is for some parts, but really, you can get from NRT to Ueno in 45 minutes. Not really a deal breaker for me.
I would rather spend an extra 20 minutes or so on a train than sit in a less satisfactory seat to Japan and back.
