Between leg 6 and 7 of my 11 leg trip I will earn 255 Club Points. I would like to earn the balance of the trip in BA Avios. My plan is to move away from MPC anyway^ and start crediting everything to BA and it seems a shame to waste 16% of my way to 600 BA Tier Points. I would not earn the required 600 points by 30 September for MPC Diamond, and would not want it anyway

.
Has anyone here done anything like this, and if yes any advice?
If this has been answered elsewhere, could someone please provide the link.
I just saw on the link below discussion regarding MPC "early reset" of the year, so that my Club Miles are not wasted and I start as gold with 110 Club Miles rather than zero. Is anyone familiar with this?

Thanks in advance.
Who booked your flight for you?
Depending on the GDS used, each segment may the particular FFP so its not just based on airline. But it will also depend if the airline in question sees each segment having its own number, instead of one number for every segment of its flights.
eg
CX 111 16DEC SIN-HKG can have FFP AA12345
CX 222 17DEC HKG-TPE can have FFP BA12333
HOWEVER... in my experience, AMADEUS which CX and BA uses has its quirks and it may not send the right information to the correct airline. So in this case, you would have to check each time you fly that that flight has your particular FFP on it.
CX agents seem to know what they're doing. BA doesn't. There has been many times when I asked BA to remove my BA number and use AA instead. Even after the boarding pass comes out with my AA number, the miles somehow end up on my BA account.
