According to the Asia miles website, I can redeem the miles on American Airlines. A colleague mentioned he has AAdvandtage rewards account that he uses when booking on Cathy Pacific.

Question: Given my expected travel to Hong Kong 2-3 times annually (about $7,500 USD per trip), what program would be better?

It appears that 20k Asia miles will get me one round trip ticket from Boston to Florida. Would I do better switching to AAdvantage if I plan to always redeem for travel in Unite States? Thanks.
I would look into crediting your miles into Alaska Air's Mileage Plan.

I don't want to elaborate too much on it considering it's the CX forum, but if you do a bit of searching on their site you will realize how insanely lucrative the program is.
