I've always phoned up to reset.

I've even managed to get it reset during a transit between flights, with the flrst flight getting me over the line, resulting in the next flight counting towards the new membership year

In your case, if you reset, then your new membership year would start in July with 110 TP or so (depends on whether or not your flights total exactly 245 when you hit 600 / renew)
