Any recent stay reports? Seeing some very low rates for late June (EUR 130-ish) ... is anything wrong with this place (other than the grotesque mis-categorization as Cat 6)?

Considering using this hotel as a base for some daytrips in Trieste and Slovenia ... is that a terrible idea? Anything nearby in terms of small villages/activities/restaurants? Or is one essentially captive once checked in?
