Hi. I need some advice on what to do.
Flying back from Hong Kong and the pilot is taken ill before take off. The flight is announced as cancelled.
We are put up in a hotel in cause way bay with limited assistance in getting there. No water or food provided. I have to say one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.

Flight will (fingers crossed) depart today 15hrs late.

What should I expect as compensation bearing in mind I've missed my daughters birthday party ?

I don't hold out much hope tbh, based on my recent experience of virgin customer service.
