PDX (where I visit family often) was almost as bad, still after my expiry date. I poked around to find better dates on the West coast, and finally found a date at LAX in mid-Sept. Then I was able to get a same day r/t AA award ticket SFO-LAX for just 13.5K miles +$11 (including Citicard 10% rebate), perhaps making this the truly archetypical FTer/FFer way to do the interview

p.s. I'll even get to try out the new T4-TBIT airside connector (maybe).
