I got it in an email this morning. Full text of email:
We’re writing to let you know that, because our partnership with Costco is ending, starting on June 20, 2016, your TrueEarnings® Card from Costco and American Express may be replaced with a credit card from Citibank. It will not be an American Express® Card.
You will receive additional communications from Citi about your new card. For answers to some frequently asked questions about what will happen to your American Express account because of the transfer, please visit americanexpress.com/programupdate.
In some cases, accounts may not be transferred to Citi. If that is the case with your account, we will contact you with additional details. If you cancel your account on or prior to June 16, 2016, your account will not be transferred to Citi, even if you have already received the new card from Citi.
June 20 Payments scheduled for June 20, 2016, or after, will be canceled
If you have any AutoPay payments or scheduled payments that are set to occur on or after June 20, 2016, they will be canceled by American Express, even if a scheduled AutoPay payment date appears on your billing statement.
You will lose access to your TrueEarnings Card account starting on June 20, 2016
If your account is transferred to Citi, on June 20, 2016, you will no longer have access to the following:
• Your account online at americanexpress.com or through the Amex mobile App
• Your online statements for your TrueEarnings Card account at americanexpress.com. Before June 20, 2016, please download and save any billing statements that you would like to keep
