well, i think that my experience is a different kind of "great thing" than the others: i was settled comfortably in an exit-row aisle seat, when a rather large pax made a beeline for the adjacent middle seat. the flight attendant suggested that he feel free to move to another seat with more room (the flight was wide open), but he insisted on sitting next to me
i had the distinct impression that he fully expected
me to change seats, so he could move over to the aisle....which, of course, put me in a rather evil state of mind.
so i jumped up to get a book out of my carryon in the overhead bin before we pushed back. not just any book, but
