I'm very confused about the terms and conditions when upgrading a British Airways flight with Asia Miles. I see that "Mixed class and mixed carrier awards do not apply to class upgrades and companion tickets."

What happen if I book for example CDG-HND as a return ticket in premium economy. Because the segment CDG-LHR doesn't have a premium economy, so the fare class for that segment is K. However the LHR-HND and HND-LHR fare class is T (which is upgradable for british airways according to https://www.asiamiles.com/am/en/redeem/charts).

In that case is the ticket considered mixed class and cannot be upgraded? It seems a bit stupid since it's impossible to book a non mixed class on that trip.
