LaGuardia Airport Was Completely Out Of Ice Last Nite!

Just a mini story

. . . .

Flying DL6285 aka GoJet LGA/PIT last nite . . . .

Maybe some of you have met this guy - An older, retired type, with a heavy NY accent who made his announcements as though he was putting on a show! He claimed to be retired from working in "homicide"!

Anyway - He said that the lead FA called catering twice, and the pilot called twice for ice - NONE! "LaGuardia airport is completely out of ice tonight", he said! "Can you believe this is LaGuardia, New York?" The other FA said in the background . . . . I do have a FEW CUBES for first class!!!

He said - - - "We have the buffet for you, tonight. We have peanuts, or pretzels. If you choose the buffet, you get BOTH!"

It almost seemed like a skit, the way he made his announcements. It was a fun late evening flight.

Anyone else fly out of LGA last nite have a problem getting a cold drink?
