Visited April 2016 and they instructed me to show my AMEX to the lounge attendant. Worked without issue. Offerings were very basic.

Took the gold amenity drink coupon which allowed for 2 drinks at the bar. It even worked on glasses of Kir Royale made with Moet- approximately $40 bill comped. Way better than the points imo.

Reading above, I see the paid club rooms allowed breakfast in any of the three restaurants. In addition, the club room photos above are way nicer than the basic room I was assigned to. I found it to be outdated.

The upgrade to the club room was either 1,500 or 3,000 points. If that like the paid club rooms allows breakfast in any of the 3 restaurants (not to mention the nicer room) I'd definitely go that route. The buffet downstairs was quite expansive and probably in the $30USD range per person if I had to guess.
