When AA used to fly OAK-DFW a few years ago (maybe it's been more than a few years but it doesn't seem like that long ago), I think there were ~6 or so flights per day. I remember them being pretty full too. Of course a full plane is not a profitable plane. But with a good economy, especially in the bay area, I could envision them restarting that route.
