I think the consensus was that the points would post at a statement closing if you met the $2k requirement about 5 days before statement closing. However, in a post on the prior page someone noted that they met the spending requirement 11 days prior to statement closing and did not receive the 50k bonus.

In my case I met the spending requirement 2 days prior to statement closing and did not receive the bonus until the next monthly statement that closed yesterday.

It appears that points are only awarded at monthly statement closings.
