From what we have seen elsewhere, BA will be fairly keen to prevent Norwegian from getting too big a toe hold in LGW. Indirectly it's one reason why fares from SVG / OSL / BGO are so low. I thought the reason for switching the LGW-LAS service to JFK was to compete against Norwegian's services. But if you don't have many longhaul aircraft (very much the situation at LGW) then there is only so much you can do.
