Monday at about 7p, probably 30 people at the #5 (D/N checkpoint) and PreCheck was closed.
Went down to #3 (central terminal checkpoint), one ID checker, and two x-ray lanes open. Was through the whole process in about 90 seconds--four people in line total. Had a good laugh with the ID checker about the "really awful line right now."
Main line looked like there were a handful of people waiting--probably no more than 2-3 minutes over there.
TSA won't schedule like this--it's why PHX is always a mess around the DST switch. TSA is staffed for the previous week's schedule when the pax flows are an hour earlier/later depending on month. Takes a few weeks to get back to normal.
One thing that would help SEA is making one dedicated PreCheck checkpoint, then have a lane over in Delta land. Of course, that will never happen. Or if it did, the checkpoint would only be open for two hours, starting at 4a and closing at 6a.

There is a dedicated pre section... The lines are usually longer than the lines at the central terminal entry point. I walk to the central screening and never wait more than 5 min.
