Again seriously - Qatar lists their US call times as 9am-7pm & you expect all flying folks to figure out that they have a 24 hr call line based in Qatar - look it up online - and then place an international call to Qatar for help. Well - dont know about others - but neither me nor most of the passengers would think this is such a great idea. And yes - if you advertise yourself as the world's 5* airline - you are held to higher standards than other airlines.
QR is hardly the only non-U.S. based airline with U.S. a call center which is not staffed 24×7. Just randomly taking another carrier I fly a lot, the CX U.S. call center is open M-F 0600-1730 and Sat 0600-1600 (all times Pacific time).
