A few (fairly negative) comments about a Y class KIX -> LHR

Good evening,

Yesterday I along with Mrs mrploddy made a Y class trip with CX from KIX to LHR on CX503 / CX253.

First of all the good

- They got us to A to B on time with all our baggage intact - I know there are a lot of premium flyers here who look down on people in Y and that we should be grateful to even have a seat. So in that sense the fact we got here in one piece is something to be grateful for.

Now the bad

- The Apple Watch has been out for a year now. I tried to use Apple Watch on both segments and all staff seemed surprised that I was using a boarding pass on a watch. They don't have handheld scanners and in all cases had to take it off so I could scan eg gate / transit security

- We had a route march on a short connection - Gate 63 to Gate 3....nice way of getting ones feet to hurt. We've got CX358 / CX594 with a 55 minute transfer with seats at the back of the bus - I hope we make it...

- CX doesn't seem to get zoned boarding....why?. It would make the economy boarding process a whole lot more efficient.

- The second meal on CX253 unlike every other long haul flight I have ever been on was served with 4 hours still to go ????. Better it be just before landing so you can sych yourself up to land rather than breaking sleep patterns and unsettling everyone
