First of all welcome from a fellow weegie..

Secondly I would consider a TP Run to top up to Gold or a Big TP run at the start of the next Membership year that will get you to Gold near enough instantly and allow you to use the benefits for That whole year and the next then get a 3rd year at silver.

A TP Run on AA would be your best bet and you wouldn't have to worry about the BA Metal flights as you would get that easily with the GLA - LON commute you are currently doing
