The real high value flyers (regular paid F passengers) typically don't care about status in my limited experience. If you're pushing enough business their way they know who you are regardless of what card you hold.

The ones who do care are the ones who fly premium for work but lower classes for their personal travel, J passengers who like the upgrades and F lounges, or those whose companies make them fly Y regularly.
