I'm traveling in July in KLM World Business from CPT->AMS on a 787-9. I've requested AVML. I'm curious if anyone has experience with this recently and what was served.

Meanwhile, I'm curious how KLM FAs feel about a request to have a vegetarian option that "happens" to be on the menu when you've requested a special meal. I've had mixed success with FAs on DL about this. (Probably because the crew doesn't want my AVML, and they'll get it if I take the other option.) But I wonder if, the AVML available that I request isn't very good, and there is, say, a pasta on the menu (I'm lacto-ovo) if the FA will be willing to give it to me instead.
