I imagine that on 274 that they will serve dinner but I have no clue about 836?

On QR836, you will be offered dinner with a light option prior to landing. Personally, I get very annoyed when people want to eat on the flight (I do it almost weekly), because the flight is short-enough without the noise of cutlery banging.
That being said, I do of course appreciate that people get hungry...oh, and it's free, so why not!
