Times are STN-IBZ dep 2140 arr 0110, IBZ-STN dep 0145 arr 0310.
So I can see how BA might think there would have been demand for a similarly unpleasantly timed flight from Scotland.
BA have some (or had) some similar times between LGW-AGP during mid-summer. I took a AGP-LGW flight a few years ago (2014?), departing around 1am, and there was another at 3am. The 1am was actually quite busy (well, it was very cheap compared to the daytime flights). The times actually were perfect for me, enabling a nice dinner (my birthday!) in Malaga, before being in Northamptonshire the next afternoon for a wedding. I'd much rather a late night, than a crack of dawn morning flight.
