Someone once told me that the problem wasn't with the 'Kentucky' or with the 'Fried', but with the 'Chicken'.

They decided to rename it, KFC, apparently, because they couldn't officially call it chicken due to whatever extras etc were added.

So, there are lots of stories about this one.
