I've been playing with an EdgeRouter X SFP and AP AC Lite for the last few days.

The AP and controller software are pretty slick. There is a way to identify connected devices by Vendor and MAC in the controller, but it's kind of buried. I don't remember where it is (disconnected the system) but it is there.

The EdgeRouter is a pain to set up. Its features are pretty much the same as my router running Tomato, but Tomato is much easier to configure. So, I've gone back to Tomato at home and will put the Ubiquiti stuff in my dad's office.
