When we visited the NOC at Willis Tower it was pointed out UA acts as the back up flight control for Air Force One. I'm curious as to the history and how long this has been in existence. Also. A Captain told me UA does/used to perform maintenance on Air Force One 747s. Does this still happen? Especially since UA will eventually phase out 747 from its' fleet. Thank you.
