I wouldn't be too concerned with the weather. We went to the Reethi Rah in June (2014) and had rain once for 10 minutes during our 10 night stay. It is an amazing resort and the food is fantastic. If, like us, you're not particularly interested in snorkelling or wildlife then it is a fantastic option. The Beach Club is totally free of coral or stones making it a great place to relax and swim. We spent every day there and never once got bored. Amazing spa too.
We stayed in a Beach Villa with a pool and it was excellent. Not as glamorous as the Cheval Blanc accommodation but luxurious none the same.
