i would honestly be happier with strong, consistent seasonal sales, similar to the one posted early this year for late winter/spring travel in competition with WN. if we could have a once quarterly or 3x year sales of ~$149-179 CA-HI, $49-59 CA-PDX/SEA, plus a few other bonus routes thrown in there...with good long travel periods and reasonable advance purchase options (>21 days -- both for planning purposes and upgrade chances), that would make me content to bid adieu to flash sales.
I flew a lot of $49-59 OAK-PDX (and $59 PDX-LAX) through memorial day and have been waiting for anything of a summer sale, but those same flights are still $107+. It's looking more and more like it won't come
