Spirit Airlines - What happened to the Off Peak Flights?
So I've had the Spirit Mastercard for about five years, I use it in rotation with other cards to collect points as Spirits off-peak miles flights have always been really good to me domestically (5000 Miles Roundtrip Region 1, 10000 Region 2). I've used it a lot to go to LA, Vegas and Chicago the last few years but have cashed in a total of around 25 free award tickets in the last 5 years.
I've never had a problem finding flights as long as I am flexible with dates. However, I started looking a couple of days ago from DFW and the Spirit Card Region 1 and Region 2 flights are nonexistent now. I went through 11 cities from DFW with dates June to Jan and not 1 Off Peak rewards date exists. I see some random availability on RETURN flights only. Has Spirit done something to tighten the belt? I am having a hard time believing that they advertise 2500 and 5000 miles one way flights on off-peak, however, not 1 flight exists. I was going to call them about this as well.
