1. 772 J configuration has not changed. However, all 772s have now been refurbished, but it is essentially a refresh of the cabin. Seat guru is correct with this seat map:

There is nothing much between the seats, other than avoid the front rows if you don't like noise/light from galley/toilets, same with Row 7 as your head will be next to the toilets and galley behind.
2. Yes, they look similar to the 773 seats, only slightly updated and with new IFE. The only difference between 773 and 772, is the latter has two J cabins because it is a larger aircraft.
