I avoid all these "miles for hotel" companies such as Kaligo & RocketMiles like the plague. More trouble than they're worth and often issues with getting an "expensable" invoice/receipt.
I book major chains where I'm a member directly, and anything else via hotels.com.
I looked at some hotels on rocket miles for a couple of trips earlier this year and the prices were (much) higher than on the hotel's own website or Expedia and the difference in price was closely related to how much it would cost to buy the same number of miles.
