KLM ships horses from Europe to the USA, and several people I know have come as "grooms". They keep an eye on the valuable horses and help get them settled in the quarantine facility upon arrival. I didn't ask exactly how that worked, but wish I had. The market for European horses is huge. There's often a waiting list to get your horse home from Amsterdam. A service such as Jetpets will arrange it.
