SEA (airport) is hiring 90 people to help perform 'administrative' TSA functions like tub stacking and line management, hoping that it will free up enough TSOs to open another checkpoint. AFAIK, the workers are expected to be temporary, through the summer.

I hope the airport files for repayment from TSA. Neither the local taxpayers nor the pax should be picking up the tab for TSA's deliberate slowdown.
