It's now three weeks and it's doing my head in!!!!
OK, it was dodgy at first but I've been fine for a while and like you I wonder how much is down to milking insurance. Although, since mine has now been classified as 'serious, life threatening' I should get 100% back rather than 80% on the insurance. Thank god, because there was some expensive stuff going on, as far as I was able to tell.
Luxembourg hospitals are not the worst hospitals to be in but even so I'd rather be at home. Nurses are great (about 50-50 male to female) and actually give you information. Doctors just flit in once a day, mainly to tell you that you may have to stay in a while longer (OK, they sussed out what was wrong, did the op, and it seems to have worked, so fair dos, but that was then...).
Food is OK - certainly compared to UK hospitals. A bit bland, perhaps. Much like CW meals in fact. In fact, with the lie-flat bed, it's very much like spending weeks in a CW cabin (albeit without the G+Ts). Upper deck perhaps, but you can understand why I need to get out.
They reckon I might be able to get out tomorrow. I'd certainly love to free up the bed space. Otherwise, I'm thinking... Monday??? Too horrible to contemplate.
