I got an answer on the Gold upgrade cert. By the rules, they confirmed that if you attain status during the calendar year, you will not gain the gold cert until Mar. 1 the following year. Keep that in mind if you get the card early in the year and are not yet Premier status as it will short you a certificate unless you wait to apply for the card AFTER you gain Premier status at which point you will get the cert upon card approval.
