You can make a dummy booking on BA.com for SEALHR tomorrow and before payment you can look at the seat map, and assuming you are travelling outside holidays/large conference it will give you a rough idea of availability at T-24.
I like the idea but of course in reality this will only give you a rough idea about the flight you're looking at tomorrow.
I just booked CW seats for my mother and sister to visit here in December. They have no status but like the OP they would prefer to sit in a window/aisle pair. They have paid for seat assignments and that's what I would recommend to the OP if it's sufficiently important.
