Back to the initial motivation for the trip... a cheap J fare on Skyteam from CDG-AMS-CGK. I booked a AF flight for first thing in the morning so I would have a full day in AMS. I had been to AMS once before but it was raining and I was only there overnight so needless to say, I hadn't seen much of Amsterdam. (Although it still counts, jlisi984)

This time, I took a Tesla taxi from AMS to the Andaz. The Tesla was super uncomfortable as a passenger and I can't imagine spending 100K for the car and being so uncomfortable !

I like the Andaz as it has a great location on the canals. Breakfast is extensive and delicious (and included as Hyatt Diamond). I took an Uber to the Museum district and did the usual touristy things.




I love eating on these trips and try to seek out unique places. Apparently, this is one of the best places for french fries in Amsterdam Don't worry - there's room for Michelin stars in this trip too...
