My flight MUC-CDG was unfortunately delayed which does throw a wrench into plans when you're in a city for <24 hrs. LH F lounge staff were actually quite apologetic which somehow made me feel better.
Paris is one of my favourite cities - for food, fashion and style but certainly CDG is not one of the reasons. Anyhow, I was out quickly with a Blacklane pickup and onto my next resting spot - Mandarin Oriental Paris.
One reason I love Paris is that I've always majorly splurged when I visit. My first hotel stay there was FS George V so really, how can life be bad ? This time, I decided to try MO Paris due to its great location on Rue St. Honore. It's actually been open for five years but it's new to me.
Beautiful lobby
Corridors
It's somewhat spartan but I like that style.
The rooms were small compared to FS but very elegantly appointed and quiet facing an inner courtyard. Occupancy was low and I received a FSPP upgrade from a Deluxe room to a Mandarin room. They could have been a little more generous for a one night stay but c'est la vie !

I arrived at the hotel at 3:45 pm and by 4:15 pm I was at the spa. It's a beautiful spa with individual spa suites where you change and have your treatments. Products are Guerlain and I had a wonderful facial. The therapist was Japanese so I had a discussion with her how there aren't too many Japanese residing in Paris (who aren't tourists!) The spa is highly recommended for those who are into the spa thing.
Room amenities are diptyque ! (no candles though unfortunately)
Anyway this is FT so let's move along to the flights...
