This surely can't be true. Any help with this difficult situation would be greatly appreciated.
A copy of the death certificate, notarised if necessary, should cover what is required. Perhaps she could make this suggestion to Turkish through their US head office.
Turkish wanted me to appear in person at their office (miles away) with my credit card and passport to get a refund. I appealed to the customer relation team, and received a near immediate refund to my card.
