Hi All,

I've read through the thread and wanted to get some feedback on my options. My trip this summer will take me through Hong Kong (first stop), Taiwan, and Japan. I would in HK for 5 days, Taiwan 5 days, and Japan 3 days.

1) Does it make sense to buy a SIM card in each country, or buy one SIM card in HK that will support my entire trip? I have an AT&T iPhone 6S and also have a AT&T mobile hot spot. Both devices run off SIM in the US.

2) Simply buy data-only SIM card for the hotspot, and make VOIP calls through it? I'd go airplane mode and just leave WiFi on.
