I am from the UK but live in Charlotte, NC. The relevance of this is that I tend to fly with AA and BA and try to keep any other flights within one world. I have BAEC Gold status.

I picked up a great offer with Qatar Airways - Business class Amsterdam - Bangkok via Doha at the end of May for 1330 Euros return. I didn't really want to connect via Heathrow so I booked a KLM coach ticket ATL-AMS direct.

I've been searching for some kind of Skyteam status match for my BAEC Gold and the best I could come up with is the Delta Medallion challenge. I am now enrolled and have 90 day platinum medallion status - I may as well be honest and say that I have no intention of trying to meet the challenge as AA almost have a monopoly out of Charlotte.

Use of the lounges in ATL and AMS would be nice but also an extra baggage allowance would be great. Does anyone know if I get the full benefits on KLM or is this promotion Delta exclusive please? I don't mind being refused the lounge but having to pay for extra baggage would be disappointing.
