We had a nice pre-cruise stay in Athens a few years ago. We loved going to the rooftop pool for a dip after the hot day. The new Acropolis Museum was particularly excellent. The hotel helped us out as it was in the middle of one of their economic crises and we had heard of taxi strikes.
