Thanks for all the input, really helpful. Given that we won't be pushed for time, and have GE, thought we'd go for the shiny TBIT connection. Although A380 seems like a downside to me given the lack of direct aisle access seats for couples, unless I'm missing something - would prefer row 63 on the 747 upper deck - only other options on A380 / 747 seem blocked for bassinets.

One other question - if we're arriving and departing TBIT, is there any security to clear? Or can we stay airside the whole time?
