Any UK biometric passport is valid for entry to the US as long as it doesn't expire before your planned return date. Mrs Steve ZA's passport was issued in July 2006 and it was accepted for entry after the 1st April rule implementation. Obviously it is a good idea to renew a passport at least six months before it expires but not everybody does.
