Hotels must be pissed people aren't paying for overpriced phone calls from rooms or consuming enough of the overpriced drinks and snacks from the mini bars.
I remember that incident. It started because Marriott (I think they own Gaylord in Orlando) was jamming the internet connections from their conference center. Internet connectivity at those events can cost upwards of $1,000 per day.
I think it's even more at Hannover Fair, and they have hotspot police trawling around detecting unauthorised access points.
