That's exactly what I thought as well. But I found it very curious that this happened on Spirit. I'm an exec plat on American and fly much more frequently on that airline. I'm also a Marriott Gold and Hilton Diamond. I've never had an issue with any of those reservations. Very strange and it just didn't make sense at all that someone would take the trouble to call in to screw with me but leave me time to fix my flight.
They did not change the email address on file so I got the notification a day early and was able to rectify everything. If they wanted to make it really sting, they would have made sure that I was left hanging at the airport. That would have been truly terrible.
Alls well that ends well I suppose.
