That's the bit that frequently falls through the cracks in this, and similar. discussions. I don't care how good the ME3 and others are, when I'm flying TATL, as they don't go there from UK/nearby without a lot of dancing around..
I'm quite sure they're potentially better than BA, but as they
don't fly where I want to go [and indeed BA doesn't really try to compete with them where they do, IIRC], the comparisons are broadly irrelevant. As many others have said in the past, BA does TATL quite well, in parallel with AA, on a guaranteed well-filled F/J route that makes money. Others on that particular route apparently aren't as good - so the money flows into BA/IAG.
