Just wait for cruise season. I hit SEA once when they had multiple cruise ships disgorge their elderly/family clientele, and the lines were 1-2 hours. This was before TSA melt-down and PreCheck.
The TSA supervisor's response when asked about the lines: "we didn't anticipate the volume of people today."

Try D/E at PDX. Unless it's first thing in the morning, D/E is usually shorter.
